The Great White Hope Team undertaking the IoW challenge finished at around 4.30pm this afternoon. Cate Skeat, Sarah Beardon, Katia Pothecary, Verity Penzer, Hazel Hutt and Sue Bunyan completed the event raising over 5,000 pounds for MDS .....brilliant effort and well done to the team but...

My colleagues in the department organised a fundraising and awaeness fundraising event for MDS today and raised over £380 ......great support from my colleagues ..... well done indeed.

Admission Day - 3rd May

Admission has been confirmed as 3 May following conversation with transplant nurse today. Will need to ring first thing to check timing and pre transplant treatment begins in earnest on Monday.
Early start tomorrow as need to be in Southampton by 8am for platelets prior to Hickman Line...

Compared to recent weeks, fairly quiet. Bone Marrow Biopsy went well and no adverse reactions. However I knew they had not taken bone sample due to bleeding as I have a low platelet count, so I had a call late this afternoon that I need to go back on Monday to have another one so they can secure...
